Speaking into our children’s lives is one of the most precious gifts we can give them. I have three beautiful children, and with each of them I’ve learned that sometimes one-on-one parenting is not just helpful — it’s vital to their success and overall well-being.

When you intentionally speak words of encouragement and wisdom over them on a one-on-one basis, you uncover what makes each child special and uniquely designed. There is something so powerful about watching their eyes light up when they hear life-giving words addressed to their heart. Even with teens, those moments can shift the trajectory of their future.

When you set aside intentional time to remind them how important and significant, they are — and that God has a detailed plan for their life — their soul thrives. They understand they are unique, God created them with purpose, and He called them to live intentionally. That moment becomes an imprint on their heart.

Life can be demanding and overwhelming, and many children feel overlooked, unheard, or unseen. But when you slow down and truly see them, you create a safe space of belonging and love. Sometimes it’s as simple — and as powerful — as speaking words of life.
